God did not abandon Christ to Hades and did not allow his body to see corruption. This means that God raised him from the dead. By saying this, Peter was trying to remind the Jews of their own holy writings, which foretold the resurrection of Christ. But the resurrection of Christ was not something that was only prophesied in the Old Testament. Peter and the other disciples saw the risen Christ with their own eyes! The Old Testament prophecy came true in the practise of the community! So when he was exalted to the right hand of God, he received the promised Holy Spirit from the Father. God not only brought Christ back to life, but also seated him at his right hand. God gave Christ his Holy Spirit, and he now poured out the same Spirit on his disciples. Here we see a direct reference to the Trinity, that is, to the one God who is manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, working together.
