What Is Baptism and Why Should We Be Baptized?
In the New Testament, water baptism is performed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a sign of the believer's repentance, forgiveness of his sins, and remission of his sin. In the meantime, baptism is a sign of the believer's union with Christ. When the believer is baptized, he shares in the death of Christ. He dies of his old sinful nature and sinful nature. At the same time, he shares and shares the resurrection of Jesus. Through faith, he receives a new spiritual life, and finally, baptism is a sign that we have become part of the body of Christ. In short, baptism is a sign that we have received salvation.
We receive all these blessings of baptism through faith in Christ.
