Can Christians Be Considered “Infidels”?

Many of our fellow citizens ask this question: “Are followers of Jesus Christ infidels?” The short and clear answer is: No, Christians are not infidels; they are true believers. In common culture, the word infidel is usually used for someone who does not believe in God or denies divine truth. However, when we look at the teachings of Christianity, we see that Christians not only believe in God, but their faith is built upon the knowledge and acceptance of divine truth.

The Gospel mentioned in the Holy Bible is the Gospel of the Kingdom of God; a Gospel in which the equality of men and women is clearly revealed. In this Gospel, Jesus Christ is presented as King and Lord, the source of the highest power and justice. Jesus Christ stands at the centre of its message, and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is founded on the truth and centrality of Him,a truth that recognises all human beings, both men and women, as equal in dignity, value, and participation in the Kingdom of God.

Are Women and Girls Allowed to Study in Christian Teachings?

There is no restriction on the education of women and girls in Christianity. Women can receive education in churches, schools, universities, higher and semi-higher education institutes, teacher training centres, and in every other field. In Christianity, Jesus Christ comes to earth as the Saviour of humankind; this salvation is for both women and men. The matter of salvation from sin and spiritual death forms the foundation of Christianity. By believing in Jesus Christ, everyone becomes part of God’s family, where there is no distinction between male and female. Men are recognised as sons of God, and women as spiritual daughters of God through Jesus Christ.

Why Do We Afghans Need Salvation in Christ?

We Afghans, like every other nation, are born in sin and are naturally separated from God. This separation is evident not only on an individual level but also on a collective level. Sin is the source of corruption, oppression, lies, and injustice, which are also present in our history and society. No one, not even with the best deeds, can save themselves from sin and God's judgement. Despite our moral, religious, or philosophical efforts, we Afghans cannot draw near to God on our own. Salvation is possible only through God's grace.
