Believers are justified freely by the grace and free gift of God. In the beginning, man had no hope of salvation and justification, but because of His great love and mercy, God has provided a way for man to be saved, and that way of salvation is faith in Jesus Christ. Our salvation is a free and free gift from God. We do not have to do a thousand different things to earn salvation and earn that salvation from God as a reward for our good works by resorting to the works of the law. Because Jesus Christ "earned" that salvation for us and paid the price for our justification with His life. The important point to note here is that we are justified through the ransom that is in Jesus Christ. Justification is an integral part of salvation.
