Ten Commandments

God gave good and righteous laws to his people. Some of them are famously called “The Ten Commandments”. God promised that if they would follow these commandments they would live a happy life. Some of these commandments are: “I am your God and no one else!”. “Never worship any idols”. “Don’t misuse my name”. “Celebrate the Sabbath day, the day of rest!”. “Honor your parents!”. “Don’t murder!”. “Don’t commit adultery!”. “Don’t’ steal”. “Don’t lie!”. And “Don’t envy and be jealous what does not belong to you!”.
Jesus Christ later summarized the whole law of God by these two commandments: “Love the Lord, your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbour like yourselves!”
