Rebecca and Jacob

God had promised to show his mercy to Jacob. However, Jacob and his mother Rebecca didn’t fully trust God. They took things in their own hands and Jacob was told by his mother to lie to his father Isaac in order to obtain the fatherly blessing. God punished Jacob for his lying. God never likes lying and fraud. Telling lies has bad consequences and brings judgment. It is always better, to leave everything in God’s hands and to trust him for the outcome instead of trying to change things through lying. Let God handle the situation because he wants to work everything for our good.
