Hagar and Sarah

According to this story, God fulfilled his promise even though it was quite late. He is wise and knows when to fulfill it. God had promised Sarah a child but many years passed and Sarah didn’t become pregnant. She became impatient and didn’t want to wait, so she told her husband Abraham to sleep with a servant girl by the name of Hagar in order to have a child and heir from her. A child was born (Ishmael) but it was not God’s promised son to old Sarah.
Finally, God fulfilled his promise and gave Sarah a son (Isaac) in her old age which was a miracle. It is always better to wait for God’s promise and not to try to speed up God’s timing to fulfil his promises to us.
