Dream of Jacob

Just like Jacob who had deceived his father, so he was later himself also deceived by his uncle Laban. Jacob had been promised Laban’s younger daughter Rachel as a wife, but his uncle deceived him and gave him instead his older daughter Lea first. Only for a promise of seven more years of labor for Laban did Jacob then get Rachel as his wife.
God had promised Jacob to bless him and he ultimately had twelve sons and one daughter. But Jacob suffered the consequences for his lies and deceitfulness. God still judges any injustice and lies because he is a holy and just God.
