Stephen was a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit. For this reason, he was also full of God's grace and power. Whoever is full of faith and the Spirit on the inside also manifests God's grace and power on the outside. There were many synagogues in Jerusalem. One of these was the Synagogue of the Freedmen. The Jews in that synagogue began to debate with Stephen, but they could not hold their tongues against the wisdom and spirit with which he spoke. So they began to bring false accusations against him.
