In the church, believers have various duties. The apostles were specifically appointed to preach, teach, and pray. So they appointed seven men to distribute food. Later, those who were responsible for such ministry in the churches became known as deacons. The apostles said that the seven men chosen for this work should be full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. In the same way, we should only choose those in our churches today as pastors, elders, and deacons who are full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. The apostles set a good example here. If any leader becomes so busy that he cannot satisfactorily fulfil his responsibilities and duties, he should delegate some of his duties to qualified people in the church. But unfortunately, some leaders prefer to keep all the authority for themselves and not share it with anyone. This is not right. For example, it is better for pastors and preachers not to take responsibility for the finances of the church and instead devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word.
