Two Honest Midwives

Joseph and his family members lived for many centuries in Egypt. They had greatly increased in numbers as Jewish people. But they had lost their position of respect and had become the slaves of the people of Egypt and their ruler, Pharao. This evil ruler wanted to reduce their numbers. So, he ordered two Jewish midwives to kill every new-born male Jewish baby. But these two midwives were God-fearing and did not follow these evil orders. God was pleased with these midwives.
God creates babies and gives life because he has purpose for everyone single human being. Therefore, we should never interfere in his work of creating life. Taking life is sin and totally against God’s will.
