Drawing Close to God

James 4:8 says, “Come near to God and he will come near to you”. What does it means to draw closer to God? According to James, getting closer to God means actively humbling yourself, abandoning worldly desires and sin, and purifying your heart to pursue a holier life with God promising to draw near to those who earnestly seek Him in return. This involves a relational shift, characterised by sincere repentance, focused communication, and obedient actions that demonstrate love and gratitude to God.
