When the ancestors of the Jews moved from one land to another, God never forgot the covenant He made with them. God always fulfils His promises at the right time. God had promised the prophet Abraham that his descendants would possess the land of Canaan (Israel). When the time came for the fulfilment of the promise, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt. Until another king arose who did not know Joseph. He dealt deceitfully with the Jewish people and humiliated their ancestors so that they cast out their children so that their descendants would not multiply.
