God called every part of his creation good, but suddenly he said that one thing was not good: "It is not good that man should be alone". The man he created was not perfect in some way. He needed a suitable companion. In what sense could a woman be a suitable companion? First of all, Adam needed a companion to have children in the future. Second, all men need someone they can share their hearts with. Therefore, a man needs someone who is like him. Third, man needed someone to complete and complement him, someone who would make up for his shortcomings. In God’s eyes, man and woman are equal, but he created man for one purpose and woman for another purpose.
