Spreading Gossip and Rumours

Spreading gossip and rumours seems to be a normal behaviour in our current society, in the family, and/or at workplace. According to the Bible, this is a sin—we should not practise it or be part of it. Gossip is destructive for relationship in the family, and with friends. The roots of gossip can be pride, jealousy, or fear. As followers of Jesus, we need to stay away from gossip and rumours and not to believe in them.
