In John 21:1-25, Peter goes fishing with six other disciples. They do not catch fish all night. In the morning, Jesus meets them and tells them to throw their net on the other side of the boat. When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. When they landed on shore, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread that Jesus had prepared. After they finished eating, Jesus spoke to Peter. Jesus asked Peter about his love towards him. Then Jesus gave Peter instruction regarding how he should act toward God's people and set his eyes on the work ahead. Later on, Jesus asked Peter to follow him. He was once again challenged to follow his Messiah, Teacher, and the Lord.
