Christmas is a day set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christians around the world celebrate this day, which is December 25 (the 4th or 5th day of the lunar month). In Christianity, the Star of Bethlehem or Christmas Star is a symbol of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Matthew states that after Jesus was born in Judea, during the time of Emperor Herod, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem and asked: "Who is he who is to be king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
