Paying Taxes to Caesar

Religious leaders were after Jesus and wanted to make him slip up in his answer to a question. They asked Jesus if they should pay taxes to Rome. Jesus knew their thoughts and used their question to explain something very important. Jesus points religious leaders to God. They needed to put God and his kingdom first. Yes, we need to pay our taxes, more importantly we need to seek God and his righteousness.
