When Khatera was only a child of 13, she was raped by her father. This assault continued for 13 successive years.
The very essence of assault is always terrifying, let alone rape, and rape by one’s father. The nature of this heinous act shows the very depts of depravity.
Khatera recalls that when she was four years old, her father went to Iran and returned seven or eight years later. She was expecting to experience all the love and affection of a father that she had been denied for many years. She longed for the love she saw her uncles had for their children. But when she found herself in the arms of her father, she realized that her father was looking at her in a different way than other fathers look at their daughters. This was excessive love.
