The Yew Av Synagogue is a famous Jewish shrine, the site of Darar's 300-year-old history and the most famous Jewish shrine in Herat, where the ancient Jews referred to it as the Yew Awn.
Located in the heart of the old city of Herat, the synagogue is a place of worship for Jewish immigrants who are said to have been displaced in Herat in Nader Afshar's time.
