Jesus’ Trial Before Pilate

Religious leaders accused Jesus of blasphemy and brought him to the Roman Governor. Pilate did not find any fault in Jesus but the religious leaders still asked him to kill Jesus on the cross. The religious leaders asked Pilate to free a criminal. Jesus did not sin but was killed in the place of a criminal sinner. In other words, Jesus was killed on the cross for our sins, so that through faith in Him we are forgiven.
