Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus

Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples. Betrayal is more painful when one of your friends betrays you for something in return. Jesus’ response to betrayal was unique when religious police arrested him—he did not fight back, and he did not seek revenge. Jesus was teaching and preaching about the Kingdom of God in synagogues, but leaders did not like him and planned to kill him. Jesus did not give up. He kept telling the truth and went to the cross.
