Fear and Courage

We all experience fear in our lives. When we are little, we don’t have much fear, but as we grow our fear grows with us. There is the fear of death, fear of hunger, fear of sickness, fear of other people, and the list goes on and on. Proverbs 9:10a says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom." This verse means we respect and acknowledge the power and strength of God above everything else in our life. The main purpose of the fear of man is to make God smaller than our fear and to make our fear bigger or stronger than God. Respecting and fearing God gives us wisdom to deal with our daily fears in life.
