They face insult, rejection, death of their mother or father, or violence, and even sexual assault. They carry these wounds into adulthood without being able to share them with anyone. This can lead to anger, depression and other dysfunctions in life. In order to overcome childhood wounds, a person needs a safe and trustworthy person, who can listen to them. The wounded person needs to be able to cry out to God for His mercy in their wounded world. There is healing for childhood wounds.
