Being social does not mean being constantly in a group; it is a communication skill. This characteristic includes the ability to interact effectively, build lasting relationships, and understand others, which plays an important role in mental health, career success, and quality of life. Because humans are inherently social creatures. God created us to connect with others. When a young person is in a healthy group, they feel a sense of belonging. They feel seen, heard, and valued. This is very important for personal development. In a group, a young person learns how to speak, how to listen, how to respect, and how to manage disagreements. In a group, a young person gets the opportunity to practise social skills such as cooperation, responsibility, and problem solving in a practical way. Being with others makes a person's mindset more open and learns to understand different points of view.
