In the book of John, chapter 13, verses 1-38, we read that Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. The main message of this story is that Jesus wants us to learn how to serve others. Jesus even washed the feet of the man who wants to betray him and his disciples. Jesus did this to show them a visual symbol of his love. Jesus said to his disciples, "Know that no servant is greater than his Lord, nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message. and whenever you understand this and act on it you will be blessed." He also showed everyone that "the greatest must become the least". This teaching of Jesus teaches us true greatness and kindness to one another.
