The Holy Bible consists of 66 books, written by more than 40 people under the inspiration of the Spirit of God. These people came from different walks of life. For example: kings (David and Solomon), a military officer (Joshua), a doctor (Luke), fishermen (Peter, James, and John), a tax collector (Matthew), a cupbearer to the king of Persia (Nehemiah), etc. It was written over more than 1,600 years, and it includes books about history, law, prophecy, poetry, proverbs, and songs. The Holy Bible was written on three continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe; and in three different languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
