Polygamy and Its Challenges

In the distant past, polygamy was accepted in some societies for specific reasons such as establishing kinship ties, strengthening one's power in society, providing guardianship for unguarded women, or political and economic goals. No woman can feel that her place in her husband's heart is divided and at the same time remain calm. This feeling, even if the woman does not express it, is formed silently and deep in her heart and gradually breaks her from within. Many women, even years after the arrival of a second husband, have not been able to regain their psychological peace. In most cases, the arrival of a second, third or more wives in life creates a feeling of rejection and worthlessness in the first husband. No human being, especially a woman, can simply accept that the love of her life partner is divided. This feeling gradually causes coldness, hidden anger and the collapse of the emotional relationship.
