Jesus Is the Sacrificial Passover Lamb

The meaning of the word Passover is liberation or freedom and salvation. During the time of Moses, the Jews were in slavery in the land of Egypt under the captivity of Pharaoh; God miraculously saved his chosen people from slavery. Today, we Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ instead of the Jewish Passover. Jesus Christ, our sacrificial lamb, was crucified during the Passover for our salvation and freedom. Jesus Christ himself became our Passover and saved us by sacrificing himself.
