Jesus Heals

In Luke 5:12-26 we read about Jesus performing various healings. The first of these occurred when a leper saw Jesus. He fell to the ground and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can cleanse me." Then Jesus reached out and touched him and said, "Be clean." Immediately, the leprosy left him and his life was changed forever. He was not only healed, but as he had requested he was also cleansed. The second healing happened when Jesus was teaching. a man who was paralyzed was brought and laid before Him. He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he rose up, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, these miracles of physical healing authenticate the power and authority of Jesus to cleanse us from sin and to forgive sins.
