Jawad, in the past week, many of our friends shared a lot of questions and their opinions, and their testimonies. One question that was really interesting to us was that one of our listeners asked if the Torah, Psalms, and the Gospel have been abrogated; is there any truth to that? So, Jawad, I think it’s good that we quickly revisit this issue. You have discussed this many times before about whether the Word of God has been abrogated, but today let’s take another look at what the Word of God says.

Very well, yes, so the question is: has the Word of God been abrogated? Perhaps Jawad, if we read from the Book of Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 8, what does the Word of God say? It says, "The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God endures forever." Here we see clearly that the Word of God is eternal and everlasting. The Word of God is not abrogated, nor does it perish, nor is it invalidated; rather, it is eternal. And what does it say in the blessed Psalms? In Psalm 119, verse 89, it says, "O Lord, your word is forever settled in heaven." How long? Forever and ever. The Word of the Lord is eternal, and those who come and say that the Word of God has been abrogated, I do not know where they get that from. Perhaps they have heard it somewhere, perhaps it has been written in other books, perhaps people have said it; humans often have this opinion. God is always exalted; humans always want to exalt God, or perhaps they have a flawed understanding. But Jawad, I am not saying that wanting to exalt God is wrong; many times humans make mistakes before God. God is holy and pure; this is what the Word of God teaches us.

We are human, Jawad. Sometimes we make promises, and perhaps we cannot keep our promises. It is possible. We get sick, we forget, we do not want to fulfil the promises of God. That is true. But when we look at the Word of God, we see that the Word of God is God's promise. When God says something, God does not forget. We should not put God in a box and say that God forgot. Or that God made a promise, and then another promise was not fulfilled.

No, when we read the Word of God, we see that it is eternal. Sometimes, for example, in some places in the Law, we see that the prophets say, "Do not do this" or "Do not do that." But when we read the Word of God, we see that the Word of God is eternal. What God says is something we can trust. If I am human, Jawad, I might come to you and make a promise, and then I might come back and say, "Oh, forgive me, I could not keep my promise." Then I might make another promise.

Then the next day, I might come and say, "Oh, forgive me, I could not keep that promise; I did not think it through." If I make promises and break them two or three times, can you trust me? Not at all, because several times I have changed my mind and my intentions; thus, it becomes difficult for someone to trust. But God is glorious, God is all-knowing, and God is all-powerful. When we talk about the omnipotence of God, it is clear that God is eternal, and God is everlasting; He never changes.

The Word of God has never been abrogated and will never be changed. That which comes from the Word of God is eternal and everlasting. Yes, perhaps, Jawad, I said that humans sometimes make mistakes, or perhaps I might have said this way or that way and I might have made mistakes. But God never makes any mistakes; God is all-powerful, God is all-knowing.

Everything that is said in His Word, we fully believe in it. Some might say, "No, the Word of God has been tampered with," but we, as followers of Jesus Christ, have faith in a God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-capable, not a weak God who would change His own Word. Today He says one thing, and tomorrow He says another.

But as we have read, the grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God endures forever. And as we have read from the Psalms, "O Lord, your Word is forever settled in heaven." We have heard that the Bible is the mother of all books; here, the Word of God speaks about it, saying it is the mother of all books. So, when we see the Word of God, the Torah, the Psalms, and the Gospel, we see the eternal Word of God—a Word that we can trust, the Word that God, the all-powerful, introduces to us. Those who say it has been abrogated, perhaps their faith is weak, but they have faith in a God that belittles themselves; they have faith in a God that belittles the Word of God. Today He says one thing, and tomorrow He says another.

We have heard many times that it is said, "For your faith, you can even say a lie." The Holy God, the God of the Torah, the God of the Psalms, the God of the Gospel does not say that if you lie, it is okay; it is not okay. Sin is sin in the eyes of God. And those who say, "Oh, it has been abrogated," what do I know? I do not understand what kind of faith they have that they can accept that the all-powerful God would abrogate His own Word. I cannot accept this; as a follower of Jesus Christ, I cannot accept this issue.

A few days ago, I was talking with Samir, and he mentioned this issue. He said that there was a programme where a very dear lady came and said that the Bible has been abrogated. I said to her, "Dear, you can accept that the Bible has been abrogated, but as a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe in an all-powerful God." I cannot believe that God could abrogate His own Word or destroy it. God would not lie. I said, "I cannot believe it, but you can if you want to." I am not saying you should not believe it; that is your choice. But we, as followers of Jesus Christ, as people of the Book, cannot accept this issue.

And in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, verse 35, what does Jesus say? He says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away." He is saying exactly what people think will be abrogated and perish, but Jesus Christ, who is alive, Jesus Christ, the Spirit, and Jesus Christ whom we believe in, the one who will come to judge the world, the one who made promises and fulfilled them completely—what does He say? He says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away."

Here we see the endurance of the Word of God. Yes, this material world may change and perish, but the Word of God does not. The power of the truth of the Word of God is evident; the promises that Jesus Christ made are everlasting. Jesus said, "For example, see how I go, I will be crucified, I will die, and on the third day, I will rise again." Everyone witnessed this truth. All the people who were there saw this truth, and Jesus said, "In the end, I will come to judge the world." He was taken up to heaven in front of the people. So, these are the things that we see—the truth of the Word of God, the power of the Word of God, and the trust in faith that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, proclaim that God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and we can trust in Him.

So, dear friends, if anyone tells you that the Word of God has been abrogated, do not touch the Word of God. If you are reading the Word of God, it makes you a believer, or if you do not read it, it makes you an unbeliever. Perhaps, yes, because they do not confront the truth, they remain far from it. That is why those who hold these opinions and say the Word of God has changed or been tampered with show their own human weakness. They see God from a human perspective, not as the all-powerful God, not as the all-knowing God. Thus, anyone who speaks like this demonstrates their understanding of God as similar to a human, not as the God who created the universe with its beauty and complexity.

Yes, perhaps, Jawad, if we read Psalm 119, I remember I read this part several times, and it was very interesting. Psalm 119, from verse 97 to 105, says, "Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day." Think about it, Jawad; it says, "I love your commandments, your word, and I meditate on it all day." Those who do not read the Word of God think about human things. But if you read the Word of God, dear friend, believe that your thoughts will be focused on the Word of God. Verse 98 says, "Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me." "I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation." "I understand more than the ancients, because I keep your precepts." Think about how the Word of God makes us wise, makes us understand, and expands our thoughts.

One of my friends said to me, "I am illiterate; I have not studied." And sometimes they said, "I consider God like a blind person because I go and do not see; there is writing, and I cannot read." They said, "I consider myself blind before God." And this friend of mine, who has not read the Word of God, speaks and says, "It has been abrogated, tampered with." It’s like someone who said, "I have not read and I consider myself illiterate." I feel that those who have not read the Word of God are in a state of ignorance concerning it.

So, what logic do you have to say that the Word of God has been abrogated and tampered with while you have never read it? And here the Word of God says what? "You made me wiser; you made me alert; you gave me understanding." I understand everything through your Word. And verse 101 says, "I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep your word." Think about it; the Word of God says that because I understand your truth, I restrain my feet from every evil way; I do not sin. This is the power of the Word of God. Perhaps, Jawad, someone who has not read the Word of God cannot keep themselves from sin. They do not recognise sin. In our view, sin is only when we do something bad, but the Word of God says that everything that does not conform to the Word of God is sin. Just stealing a little, or telling a lie—these are not the only sins.

If we do not read the Word of God, we come to say, "Oh, the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel—I believe in the four books, but they are abrogated." How foolish can I be to accept that the Word of God is valid and then say, "Do not touch it, or you will be an unbeliever"? This is all because of what? Because of not reading the Word of God. Those who make these claims do so because they do not understand.

But here we see that it says, "I have kept your precepts." We have become wise; we have become understanding. "I recognise you better." I do not go towards sin because of your Word. And verse 102, which we read, says, "I do not turn away from your judgments, for you have taught me." Those who understand the judgments of God are those who have read the Word of God. And verse 103 says, "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" How sweet it is that if we read the Word of God, we can say, like the prophet David, "Your Word is sweet." We can sit and say, "Indeed, your Word is sweeter than honey!"

Those who have tasted it know that it is sweet. And the next verse says, "Your precepts give me understanding." Therefore, I have enmity towards every evil way. Yes, Jawad, if our dear friends listen to the Word of God, they will have enmity towards evil ways—the way that says the Word of God has been abrogated or tampered with is an evil way. This way that says, "Go and kill for the sake of God, and you will enter paradise," that is an evil way.

We, as followers of Christ, believe in paradise, and we believe that it is with God, where there is purity and holiness. Yes, we do not believe that paradise is a place where there is wine and pleasures. That is an evil way. If we do not read the Word of God, we fall into worldly beliefs, and we can picture a paradise that is not the true paradise.

We can say, "Yes, that is paradise, where there is wine and pleasures." But the holy God, in the Holy Gospel, when talking about His holiness, says, "We are going to a place where there is no pain, no crying." In the presence of the glorious God, where we are always in joy and peace, there is no darkness, no light; the light of God shines there.

Think about how pure and holy that place is, not a place where there is sin and corruption. Therefore, the Word teaches us that the commands of God are pure and holy. And what do the enemies of the Word of God say? They say, "It has been abrogated and tampered with; do not read it, or you will be an unbeliever." Does the Word of God make me an unbeliever? No, reading books that come from the devil makes me an unbeliever, not the Word of God.

And verse 150 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Dear friend, we are all travellers in this world. Think about it; if we walk in darkness and do not see, we might fall into pitfalls. We are travellers; we go through valleys, rivers, and mountains. But the Word of God says, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." If we walk in the light of the Word of God, where do we end up? In the presence of God.

If I say that the Word of God is abrogated and tampered with, then where am I going? Into darkness?

So, dear friends, you can decide for yourselves; at least you have your own logic. You want to read the Word of God and be in the presence of God, or you do not want to. That is your decision. No one is going to force you to read it or say, "If you do not read it, you will be killed." Those words do not exist. The Word of God, Jesus Christ, when we see it in His own words, says, "I stand at the door of your heart and knock. If you open the door for me, I will come in and live with you."

He will transform your life and give you a new life. See how acceptable that promise is—not that if you do not read it, we will beat you. No, that is not the Word of God. The holy and pure God has given us the freedom to choose His Word and to live in His presence or not.

To say, "I am a servant of God," and then to say that His Word has been abrogated and to go where He is not in His presence is hell.

Absolutely, wherever God is not—wherever that may be—is hell. My prayer is that you, dear friends, read the Word of God and live according to it. The Word of God shows us His power, holiness, purity, love, grace, and mercy.

Through the Word of God, we know God. And when we know Him, we understand His commandments through His Word, and when we understand, we live according to His commandments and love Him dearly. Truly, those who say the Word of God has been abrogated are seeking to hear things that please them, according to their desires—food, paradise, and pleasures—while the true paradise we speak of is truly in the presence of God, in His glorious presence where there is no corruption, and the things that people desire to hear.
