In the New Testament, believers are commonly referred to as "saints." A saint is one whose sins are forgiven by Jesus Christ and cleansed by his blood.
Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Whoever follows him will live in the light and is saved from the darkness. When we follow Jesus, his light will radiate and spread through our lives to those around us. Thus, those who truly follow Jesus Christ and His Word are the children of light.
