On the day of Jesus Christ’s ascension, he was taken up to heaven in the presence of his disciples, and his earthly ministry ended. This event is celebrated forty days after Easter and the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
During these forty days, Jesus Christ appeared to his disciples many times and talked with them and ate with them. Then, on the fortieth day, he was carried up to heaven in the presence of his disciples.
