Messiah: God’s Son

The term Son of God is not a term that is used only in the New Testament. The term Son of God was used in the Old Testament as well. In Psalm 2:1-12, David talks about the Son of God as a prophecy about Jesus. John 3:16 tells us that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. We can have eternal life through a person who existed eternally, and that person is Jesus Christ.
