Radio Voice of Life, dear listeners, hello. You are listening to our voice on Radio Voice of Life, which broadcasts every morning on the shortwave of 41 meters. I am very happy to connect with you dear listeners through the youth programme.
Friends, you are listening to the youth programme on Radio Voice of Life, and I warmly welcome you to your own programme, which is the Hope for Youth programme. I thank you, dear listeners, for allowing me into your homes, workplaces, and shops. As usual, I will introduce myself. I am Faiz. In this part of the programme, we will listen to the first section. Then we will return to continue the programme.
Ahmad? Did you wake up late again? Isn’t that becoming a habit? Didn’t you manage to attend your online class? Oh, Nargis dear. Enough already. Last night I watched a series called Suhail. It was really interesting. Look, Ahmad, I’m not saying you shouldn’t watch films. That would be wrong. But if you don’t have a proper schedule, you won’t be able to study correctly. You won’t even be able to study at all.
Do you remember how chaotic things were last week? Ah, you’re right. My teacher complained about why I always leave my work until the last minute. This is the main problem we young people have; we think we have plenty of time. But the reality is that if we don’t plan properly, we end up wasting a lot of time.
Ah, you’re right, Nargis. We need to manage our time better. I wish we could create a proper schedule for our tasks. It wouldn’t be a bad idea. Let’s wake up early tomorrow and together set up a proper timetable. For our tasks, for studying, even for worship, and for our personal work. You’re right. Being a Christian isn’t just about praying. Having order in life is also a part of our faith.
First of all, we need to understand that we have 24 hours in a day. We should realise what tasks are essential and which ones we can cut down on. Personally, I need to wake up at seven in the morning. After praying, I will exercise for half an hour to gain energy. After breakfast, I study until ten.
Oh, that sounds good. From eleven until noon, you work, right? After lunch, you should take a nap and set aside some time for your own leisure. Then you have an hour left for reading the Bible. After that, I’ll rest. If I can maintain this order, my life will improve significantly.
Exactly, my dear. I always feel more relaxed when I have a plan. Even my mind becomes much calmer. This idea is also found in the Bible, Nargis. It says that for everything that happens in the world, God has set a time. Ah, how true that is. This means that every task has its own time. When we take a task out of its designated time, our overall life order falls apart.
Nargis, my dear, I thank God for having you in my life. Thank you for always helping me. You truly are an angel sent by God to watch over us. I just hope these words turn into action, Ahmad. If I manage to continue for a week, I will make it a habit. Agreed? I’ll follow the schedule from the morning. I will even limit my phone use as I have a responsibility.
Thank God that this idea has come to mind. This is a very important step. First, implement this, and then you will find success in life. Not just success, but a life that pleases God. Dear listeners and respected youth, we warmly welcome you to this part of another programme. We have once again come to serve you with a very important topic.
The topic of this programme is about time management in the lives of young people. A subject that brings order and growth to the youth. Yes, dear listeners, as always, we have our special guest Fais with us in the programme. Hello Fais, welcome. I also greet you, Nargis, and all the dear listeners wherever you are hearing our voice.
Nargis, you have chosen a very important topic as usual. You mentioned that our programme is about time management in the lives of young people. This is extremely important. It can save us from feeling overwhelmed by problems, like what should I do, what should I eat, what decisions should I make. Nargis, this is indeed a very significant topic, let’s discuss it further.
Yes, dear listeners, you understand that youth is a period filled with energy, chaos, and motivation. However, if we spend this energy without a plan or focus, it can lead to negative results in our lives. Dear colleagues, can you tell us what problems arise in the life of a young person who does not manage their time, and what positive changes can occur if they do manage their time?
Yes, Nargis, this is a very important topic you mentioned, especially in our youth. There is a vibrant excitement in life. Having a time management system can help us conserve that energy and allow us to make the best use of the energy that God grants us daily.
Nargis, the topic of time management or daily planning is one of the most vital skills for success in today’s busy world. Let’s look at this topic from three or four perspectives, Nargis. The topic of time management or daily planning is one of the most vital skills. Nargis, the topic of time management or daily planning is one of the most vital skills. Nargis, the topic of time management or daily planning is one of the most vital skills. Nargis, the topic of time management or daily planning is one of the most vital skills.
Today, young people no longer plan their hours in a rigid way but instead use blocks of time, meaning instead of thinking about what to do at a specific hour, they say, “I will create a three-hour block to do deep work.” What do I do in this deep work? I will keep all technology away from me. This helps the young person focus more.
Today, if we examine, there is a very important issue in the world, which is digital fatigue. A person spends so much time playing on their phone that they become exhausted without accomplishing anything. This fatigue is called digital fatigue, Nargis, and this topic is very important. Having a daily plan for a young person can serve two significant purposes, Nargis.
First, it gives you a sense of control over your time; you are in charge of your life, not life controlling you. If you lack a plan, life will take control over you, which eliminates the feeling of being a victim of circumstances, Nargis, and gives you confidence because you are in charge of your life. Therefore, it is very important to have this sense of control, as it motivates you. The second issue is preventing exhausting decisions. We have a limited decision-making power daily, Nargis. We can’t make a thousand decisions each day. If we continuously need to decide what to do, what to eat, what to drink, where to go, who to talk to, eventually, it will wear us out and drain our energy.
So preventing exhausting decisions helps us if we have our plans arranged. The practical recommendation is based on Parkinson’s Law. What this means is that you should always consider the 20% rule, known as the Pareto principle. Identify 20% of your tasks that will yield 80% of your results. If you do this, you will understand that you are a successful young person. Another practical recommendation is to write down your plans the night before. Young people, it’s essential to write down your plans before going to sleep; our subconscious works on it overnight, and when we wake up, we find it easier to start our tasks. You will see that sometimes we wake up and find we didn’t accomplish the tasks we planned.
Young people, never try to fill your plans 100%. For example, think that from 7 to 8 I will do this, from 8 to 9 I will do that, and from 9 to 10 I will do another task. Instead, stagger your tasks within your time management, allowing for breaks of half an hour or an hour. This is crucial because many unforeseen tasks will arise. What are those? They are tasks we didn’t anticipate, Nargis, that come into play in our time management. Also, Nargis, you mentioned the serious issues caused by not having a time management system. One of the significant problems is time wastage, which leads to our time being wasted, and we find ourselves lost, scrolling through social media and wasting valuable time. These serious issues arise from not having a time management system.
Thank you, Nargis. Yes, indeed, dear colleagues, thank you for your excellent explanations. We greatly benefited from your insights. Dear youth, let us reflect on what the Lord has guided us about this issue in the Bible. In Proverbs 6, verses 6 to 8, it says that lazy people should learn from the ants, which have no leader or overseer, yet they store their food in summer.
See, dear young people, this verse clearly indicates that even small creatures have a plan and order in their lives, and they follow their plans accordingly. Therefore, we should take lessons from nature and the beings that God has created around us. Yes, dear youth, in this part of the programme, we will listen to a beautiful song together. After the song, we will warmly welcome you back to continue this programme.
Lord, be with me at the end, be with my soul as I depart. God, enlighten my mind and assist me in my plans and deliberations. Be the sight of my heart and guard me. God, may you be with me at the end, be with my soul. Lord, may you be with me at the end, in my departure, with your kindness. The song we listened to together was beautiful, and we welcome you back to continue the programme. Dear young people, our colleague spoke about the problems arising from a lack of time management. One of the issues caused by a lack of time management is indeed time wastage. Our dear colleague will now discuss the positive effects of having a time management system for us and what practical solutions exist for better time management.
Nargis, this is a very important and fundamental topic of the programme. The positive effects of managing time are significant; it can guide us towards beneficial outcomes in our lives. If we have a time management system, certainly, I mentioned the positive effects in the first part of the programme, and I see the need to mention a few more topics here, Nargis. The first topic is that it boosts our self-confidence. It instils confidence in us regarding our tasks, enabling us to perform them effectively.
When we plan, the sense of control in our lives increases. Anxiety decreases. Every small success becomes a motivation for future tasks. This is crucial for the youth, Nargis. With effort and organisation, we can progress towards our goals and achieve real results. Planning helps us to seize growth opportunities and learn new skills without missing out, Nargis, because you have a plan to address these matters, and as a result, mental peace and contentment with life significantly increase.
So, we see, Nargis, that it is very important. Another effect is mental and emotional peace. Both mental and emotional health are critical aspects of our lives that have a profound impact on our mental well-being. If our mind and spirit are calm, we are at peace; if our mind and spirit are troubled, we become agitated, and we cannot perform our tasks. Life is all about planning, Nargis. You mentioned that practical solutions for time management are crucial, such as writing a daily plan. What should you do? Write down your plans the night before.
Prioritising tasks is another essential point; you should prioritise your tasks and identify which lessons and skills to focus on. Next, we should define rest periods, as our body requires rest, Nargis. Our energy drains throughout the day, so we need to allocate time for breaks and remain flexible, Nargis. We should not be rigid; it’s important to be adaptable since some days will be challenging while others will be good. Therefore, we should strive to remain flexible and ensure our planning is effective. Another point is that you should evaluate your day. When you lie down to sleep, take a moment to reflect: what did I accomplish today? What went well for me, and what didn’t lead to success? This reflection is crucial, Nargis, and daily evaluation is very important.
I have shared five topics with you: writing a daily plan, prioritising tasks, scheduling breaks, being adaptable, and conducting daily evaluations. If we consider these points, we will understand that we are successful young individuals and can be beneficial members of our communities, villages, and the world. If we cannot manage our daily lives, we become burdens on society and cannot build our lives effectively. Thus, it’s vital to have daily time management and plan our tasks the night before to know what we will accomplish the next day.
Dear youth, let me tell you one last thing: if we succeed in implementing this time management daily, it will shape your weekly tasks and activities. Thank you, Nargis. I hope that you will move forward, and one more thing is that young people who manage their time not only succeed personally but can also inspire those around them, their families, and their communities.
If we can set our plans, life goals, and tasks into a structured time management system, we can witness significant positive changes in our lives within a few weeks. But dear youth, our programme comes to an end here. Until next time, may God bless you.
