The importance of Jesus Christ's crucifixion: forgiveness of sins and salvation. Without a doubt, the most important reason for Christ's coming and crucifixion was to save people from their sins. In the Word of God we read: "He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities." The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The blood of Christ cleanses all our sins, including original sin and all our past sins. This blood frees us from the torment of conscience, from condemnation, and the curse. It saves us. This is the best message for the world and the good news of the gospel - that everyone can be freed from sin and become children of God. The death of Christ broke the power of sin. Christ died for us so that we might live for Him.
