Jesus said to him, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even if they die, will live." But Jesus was not just talking about the end of the world. He even brought the power to raise the dead to Martha and Lazarus in this world. Jesus brings resurrection for our bodies and eternal life for the soul and spirit. Jesus not only gives life, but is life itself. Jesus is the source of life. Whoever lives and believes in him will never die. Do you believe this, dear fellow countryman? When he cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" Lazarus came out of the tomb, dead, bound hand and foot with graveclothes. Jesus said to them, "Untie him and let him go." Then many of the Jews who had come with Mary, when they saw what Jesus did, believed in him.
