These are the men and women who have entered into a covenant with God and all creation eagerly waits for them to be made known!
This is in contrast to the various gods of the ancient world who were mere idols. The God of the Bible is alive! The prophet Hosea told the people they will be called the children of the “living God.” He made the following declaration about the Lord and His promises.
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.I do not give to you as the world gives Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
