My Identity in Christ

Our identity in Christ is first and foremost about being new. We are new creatures in Christ. Identity is defined as the characteristics by which something is definitively recognisable or known, so our new identity in Christ must also be recognisable to ourselves and to others. If we are “in Christ,” this must be obvious and understandable. Our lives must show our identity-that we are followers of Christ. The name “Christians” literally means “followers of Christ.” Our lives, words, and actions must show that we belong to Christ.
