Herod who was king, wasn’t happy with coming of Jesus. when he heard that a child has been born by the name of Jesus, ordered to all Newborn children up to 2 years’ age should be killed. He thought by doing so can kill Jesus. But before they kill the children, God had told Joseph to leave the Bethlehem for Egypt. Joseph, Mary and Jesus went to Egypt. They returned when Herod had died. When Jesus was twelve, he called himself son of God and was baptized by John.
