In Afghan society, revenge and violence are considered honorable and right.
But the fact is that revenge is like a burning fire that turns our whole being into ashes and takes away our peace, and often even life. The Holy Bible teaches us to “Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you!”
In Jesus Christ, true honour and heroism and greatness are found in forgiving and loving others, even our enemies. Receiving such a precious gift of forgiveness and love is very dependent on our trust in Christ.
