The purpose of this book is freedom, freedom from hatred. This book tells that we should serve each other with love. Love is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Those who live with the Holy Spirit have hearts full of love. The law of Jesus tells us that we should deal with sinful people with kindness and humility. As Jesus carried the burdens of us all, he also wants us to carry the burden of each other. God’s word says to respond to evil with goodness. Our kindness should not only be heard in our words but also be shown by our actions as well.
