The death and resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith and salvation. Without Jesus' death we would not have the forgiveness of sin and without his resurrection we do not have the assurance of salvation. The death and resurrection of Jesus are two sides of one coin: Our Salvation. We cannot separate death of Jesus Christ from his resurrection.
