There are many questions about the identity and sonship of Jesus Christ among Muslims. Why do we Christians call Jesus Christ the Son of God and what does it mean to be the Son of God?
We must say that in the Bible in the Gospels, God Himself says, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17).
Jesus Christ himself answered the high priest who asked if he was the Son of the Blessed God, Jesus Christ answered: I am (Mark 14: 61-62).
The disciples testified that He was the Son of God. Peter said, "You are the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16).
Even the Roman officer testified that He was the Son of God (Matthew 27:54).
The term son of God was also used in the Old Testament for kings, prophets, and the nation of Israel, which meant having a close relationship with God. When we call Jesus Christ the Son of God, we do not mean a sexual or physical relationship with God, but a deep spiritual relationship and obedience to God.
We encourage you to read the Bible and message us if you have any questions about Jesus Christ the Son of God.
