Nowruz is not only a national and cultural celebration but also embodies profound concepts of renewal, change, and hope, which can be compared to Christian teachings. 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that in Christ, we are a new creation, and we can leave the past behind and begin a fresh life. Just as Nowruz heralds the arrival of spring and new life in nature, faith in Christ also initiates a new life in humanity. This similarity shows that the message of Nowruz and the message of the Gospel both invite us to renewal, forgiveness, and hope for a bright future.
It is not our faith that makes us acceptable to God, but Christ Himself. Faith unites us to Christ, and therefore His absolute goodness becomes ours. Since we have believed in Jesus Christ, we are counted righteous. So the question arises, who is condemned?
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
