From Death and Mourning to Finding Peace and Solace.

  6 October 2026

Estrangement from God is a major reason why some people remain in a state of mourning for years, unable to find comfort or peace. Death is never pleasant, yet many become estranged from God—and refuse to reconcile with Him—following the loss of a loved one. It is truly regrettable, and perhaps even shocking, to say that they essentially refuse to forgive God! In reality, they are refusing to reconcile with God’s will. Severing one's connection with God leads to prolonged sorrow, pain, and mourning for such individuals. We must firmly resist the Evil One and draw near to God so that the spirit of mourning may flee from us. We ought to detach ourselves from the world and its pleasures and devote ourselves to obeying God. If we resist the Devil, he will flee from us. Satan constantly attempts to use fleeting pleasures to distance us from God amidst our grief and mourning; therefore, we must resist him. Do you desire for God to draw near to you? If so, we must draw near to Him. If you feel that God has distanced Himself from you, it is because you have distanced yourself from Him. The cause of this separation is sin within our hearts and lives; we must turn away from sin and repent. The way to draw near to God is to purify our hearts so that we are no longer double-minded.

Radio Voice of Life, O Lord, see my loves, O Lord, see my loves. Dear listeners of the programme, O Lord, see my loves, greetings! How are you all? Wherever you are, may you be clothed in health and may you have well-being from God. I also extend my greetings to you. Dear listeners, I hope you are well and in good spirits, and I hope you will stay with us until the end of the programme. Please accompany me and Vijaan. Truly, we thank God that our days and nights pass by. As we discussed in our previous programme, the topic was children, and they have the right to go to school and the right to an education. Today, in this preamble to our programme, our main topic is how to be free from death and mourning, and not to be angry with God, but instead to find relief. Our children sometimes ask strange questions. They inquire about why that person is dead, why that child looks different, or why another child speaks in a different language. They ask such odd questions. When parents take their children out, we have heard children ask why that person has died. Yes, and these strange questions arise. But the challenge lies in how to respond to these questions from our children. Yes, we shouldn't dismiss their questions or ignore them, telling them that it doesn’t concern them or that they shouldn’t ask. We must not say that. When we say such things, the child learns that questions and differences are bad. The things they observe should be explained to them very simply, honestly, and sincerely, and we should give them the correct answers. We should respond softly according to their questions. There’s no need to dismiss other things when we speak to them. Yes, we should say, "Yes, my child, people are different." When you see differences, that is what makes the world beautiful and acceptable. We should set an example of love for them. Ask the boy or girl, "Do you want to be friends with someone who looks different?" This child will learn from you. Instead of having hatred, they should develop love for that person in their heart. Yes, if they don’t become friends, it’s not necessarily a negative viewpoint. Children can recognise differences as they grow up, and they will develop a big, loving heart. It’s good that we always answer their questions, but our answers should be truthful, not lies. We shouldn’t say red is green or black is blue. We should speak honestly. If we don’t understand something, we should admit it and say, "My child, I don’t understand either, but I will find the answer later." So, dear listeners, stay with us, as our topic today is about being angry with God. This anger leads us to remain in the sorrows of life, in the storms of life, in fears and problems, without finding solace.

This anger towards God means we do not find comfort from the sorrows of life, from fears and problems.

This anger towards God means we do not find comfort from the sorrows of life, from fears and problems.

This anger towards God means we do not find comfort from the sorrows of life, from fears and problems.

Hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, and not from that death, they are freed, and they even blame God for it.

Yes, it’s true, I know a family very well, dear listeners, who lost their ten-year-old child.

Parents even blamed God.

Yes, they would curse God. They would say bad things, "You took our child from us." They have been grieving for years, and they still carry that sorrow and sadness.

They even reject the word of God, only remembering their son.

They remember the anniversary of his death. Thus, as we see, the family has no comfort or peace at all.

So, dear listeners, perhaps such stories have been seen in many of our families.

However, it’s strange that some of them do not even forgive God.

While God does not need our forgiveness. It’s we who need to seek forgiveness from God. In reality, they do not reconcile with God's will.

Even their relationship with God prolongs their mourning. And at this point, the devil is very pleased.

The grieving spirit does not sing. Yes, because if we become servants of the devil, he does not allow us to find freedom.

It is absolutely necessary to stand against evil and draw closer to God so that the spirit of mourning flees from us.

As it says in James 4:7 and 8, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."

"Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

Dear listeners, we must obey God and stand against the devil, for when he sees that we are with God, the devil will not come near us anymore.

He won’t lead us to mourn for this or that, so our spirits are greatly saddened for others.

Our faces become changed, and our spirits are wounded and distressed.

If we surrender ourselves to the Lord, He is the restorer and the comforter of our hearts and thoughts in life.

Thank you, we see that Jesus Christ, in John 11, when Lazarus died, His sisters were deeply affected.

In mourning for their beloved Lazarus, He even wept, and this story does not end with tears.

Jesus Christ knew beforehand that He had the power to raise Lazarus, and He said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live again."

And here Jesus Christ says, "I am the resurrection and the life," which we discussed in the previous programme.

But Jesus Christ triumphed over death with His resurrection.

And this truth of death does not mean the end for believers in Christ, but rather it is a source of comfort.

For those who believe in Jesus Christ as their saviour will have eternal life.

It is indeed a new beginning for eternal life, death is not the end. Rather, it is the start of a new life in the presence of God with the spirit that is in the presence of Jesus Christ.

As we see, in John 10:28, it says, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand."

Jesus Christ says here that when you come to me, there is no more destruction.

Dear brothers and sisters, dear compatriots, listen to this.

The word of God says this, dear listeners.

Hold on to the word of God, for Jesus Christ Himself said.

He said, "Whoever comes to me will never see death."

Yes, and Jesus Christ, dear listeners, says that they will never perish, and no one can snatch them out of my hand. Do you want to surrender to this powerful God who holds everything in His hands?

Today, God is preparing a place for us where there is no death, no sorrow, and no pain, dear listeners. We Afghans have always suffered, always taken blows, always cried, always lost our loved ones, always faced killings, and are filled with stories from which we still have no relief from these pains and sufferings. Truly, for that reason, you may want comfort.

In Revelation 21:4, it says, "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Amen. Amen. Truly, how beautiful the word of God is. Yes, when we come to Jesus Christ, our God and saviour, all our sorrows and cries are taken away. Truly, our hope and joy lie in the Lord Jesus Christ.

However, thank you. Our love and cries may be here on earth, but in heaven, there will be no more love, pain, or cries. While we are on earth, we grieve for our loved ones and for the problems and storms of life. However, our next world is not like this, and we believe in the Lord. Even if we believe that our best loved ones are gone, we understand that faith in Jesus Christ leads us to a better place. Still, separation is hard for us, and for a while, we shouldn’t continue saying that we shouldn’t cry for our loved ones. It’s okay to grieve; we pour out our love, cry, and lament. There’s no one so hard-hearted that they wouldn’t cry or shed tears. Yes, even Jesus Christ wept for the death of Lazarus, even though He knew He could bring him back to life after four days of death.

Yes, we can. But the burdens and sorrows of God fell upon Jesus Christ, and His love can bring us comfort, and we must trust this word of God which says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you." Amen. That means you should cast all your anxieties on Jesus Christ, as He said, "O weary and heavy-laden, come to me, and I will give you rest and eternal life." When we place all our burdens on the Lord, we become light and free.

Dear listeners, we want you to be free from the spirit of mourning, from grief, and from anxiety, and to achieve victory that comes from God. This victory brings eternal joy. If you are in mourning, in grief, and feeling distressed, know that the footsteps of the devil are close to you, showing you such things that even take away your true face. For that reason, we want to be freed from the spirits of mourning and have the comfort and peace of God.

When a friend of ours passes away, we see that in our country there is much pain and lament. If it’s a little less, they remember. But when a believer dies, it is not a matter of mourning and sorrow, but rather what impact they have had on our lives. How much they loved us. Unfortunately, in our country, such situations are still ongoing. A while ago, I heard about a brother who had passed away. First, his wife had died, and then twenty days later, he passed away too. They didn’t even have money to hold a funeral or do good deeds. His sons borrowed money to have the Quran recited for him and to do charitable work for him so that he could be forgiven.

That is, others come to eat and say, "What a good person he was, look at the sons he had." Yes, many of our people think that if others forgive him, God will forgive him too, while God does not look at others. God deals directly with that person about what they did while they were alive, what they did, and what they didn’t do.

So, dear listeners, we must know that the ultimate source of peace is God.

Yes, how do we free ourselves from the spirits of mourning? 2 Corinthians 7:6 says, "But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us."

Yes, so dear listeners, it is God who comforts the broken-hearted.

Remembering loved ones is important, and commemorating their impacts on our lives is good.

But we must not forget that our Holy Scriptures keep us away from praying to them or worshipping them.

Yes, we should do good deeds and charitable works for them, but it does not benefit them.

We should pray before God, seeking peace and healing, not going to their graves, laying stones, and shouting and calling out to them.

A person who dies is merely a lifeless body, so how can they hear our cries?

We all were created from dust, and we will return to dust. But for a moment, a day, we cry out, and then we become dust again.

Yes, even the word of God says that when a person dies, all their thoughts disappear.

They understand nothing anymore. But we see that it is said that if you wash the dead with hot water, they scream or cry out again when buried.

Only these imaginary hands create illusions.

God is a loving God and gives us peace in all difficult situations.

I truly love it when, in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, it says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation."

So that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort we ourselves are comforted by God.

Amen.

Truly, dear listeners, we should reflect this comfort that we received from God in ourselves.

We share this comfort of God, Jesus Christ, with you.

It is up to you how much you accept Jesus Christ and how much you reject Him.

The word of God blesses us.

Be sure that God loves you, understands each of your hardships, and we should take refuge in the Lord.

Where we receive true peace.

When we speak ill of God, when we lose our loved ones, we become angry, and we remain in mourning for years. How do we achieve victory?

Victory means being in the presence of God.

Psalm 91:1 says, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Amen.

Amen.

Dear listeners, if today we are in lamentation and cannot see death.

How much mourning do we have for other things, for desires, for the sights that our eyes see that make our hearts bleed?

We even complain to God, "Why did you create me in this world?" or we may question God.

Yes, "Why does my neighbour have this and I do not?" And for that reason, we mourn.

If such feelings come to you, they are not from God, but from the devil, and we want to bring healing through the words you have heard today, and through this programme, we ask that your spirit, your soul, and your body receive peace and solace through the power of the spirit of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit of God.

Once again, dear listeners, we invite you, please, please read the word of God, understand it, and grasp it. Do not fall under the umbrella of the devil and the evil one. I am the same; when I get angry, I think that the devil is holding that umbrella over my head to lead me astray, with anger, violence, and many other things. But find freedom from under the umbrella of the devil and the evil one. Find refuge in the Lord, Jesus Christ, in whom there is life and peace, in whom health resides. He removes all your sorrows and cries from your life. God does not give us sorrow; God gives us joy. It is the devil who brings sorrow, cries, and lament into our lives. Again, we hope you have been blessed by this programme. This has been our weekly programme presented to you, dear ones. Until next week, may you be in the presence of the Lord. Goodbye to you, goodbye to you.

Music. O Lord, hear our cries and prayers, do not let the sleep of death overtake us, do not let the sleep of death overtake us, O Lord. Music. Do not forget us, do not turn Your face away from us, do not turn Your face away from us, do not let our hearts be filled with sorrows. O Lord, hear our cries and prayers.
