Do Women Have Defective Intellects?

We have been taught since childhood by religious teachers or our families or relatives that a woman is a defective intellect.
Is this teaching correct? The Word of God does not teach us that a woman is defective in anyway. The Word of God never humiliates a woman, but gives her worth and dignity.
