A poem about Christ's suffering, examining the call for all believers to be united by God through Christ's sacrifice
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely[d] goodness and mercy shall follow me
ll the days of my life,and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
While saying goodbye to his disciples, Jesus Christ said to them, “I will ask the Father to send you another supporter, that he may abide with you forever
All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you
Our Afghan society has always been full of contradictions, differences and divisions, which in some periods have intensified, creating a fear of the collapse of Afghanistan as a country or as a nation. We are not compatible to some extent with issues such as: ethnic, linguistic, religious, regional, etc. that we can hardly address ourselves as a nation
This short poem is about missing our beloved country. It was published in the Gulistan magazine many years ago and it still rings as true as ever.
