Baptism and the Beginning of a New Life

When we begin our new spiritual life, in accordance to the command of Jesus, we have to get baptized. By being baptized, we confess that our previous life has been buried and that we have a new life and that the Holy Spirit lives in us. So, none of our past habits and practices before our faith has power over us because the Holy Spirit helps us to live a holy and clean life. When we get baptized, we testify before all others that Jesus is the Lord of our life.
