The followers of Jesus call this Friday the "Good Friday" or the "Holy Friday" because two thousands years ago, Jesus was crucified on this Friday. You might ask: Why was Jesus crucified? When we read the Holy Bible, we find our answer to this question in the prophecies of the prophets of the Lord. Seven hundred years before the crucifixion of Jesus, Isaiah prophecied that Jesus will sacrifice His life for the sins of people. It is for this reason that the followers of Jesus call this day a "Holy Friday".
